Separated as kids, Tony and Lisa haven’t seen each other since their parents’ divorce. When Lisa (screenwriter Christina Parrish) visits her former home the summer before her junior year of high school, she and Tony share their old bedroom and their bond is quickly rekindled, along with a newfound physical attraction. The tension is made hilariously worse by their father and step-mother who can’t stop talking about their own hyperactive sex life and an ensemble of pathetic, sex-obsessed friends. Tony and Lisa’s innocence in the midst of this wacky crowd of perverts makes teenage incest seem like the most wholesome activity in town. The raunchy script and supporting cast supply frequent (and often simultaneous) laughs and cringes. This quirky, incredibly awkward dark comedy boasts a cast and crew of Austin area comedians and is equal parts gross-out humor and heartfelt romance. Consider Call Me Brother the perverted cousin of Napoleon Dynamite.
